Since the emergence of engineering science, urban engineering has been and still is an indicator of civilization development and renaissance, and today civil engineering, with all its departments, is the pioneering specialty in rebuilding the country that was shattered by war and destroyed its infrastructure, with the ignorance that accompanied this spread among the youth.

 In order to establish a free, dignified and high-tech state, especially in the field of engineering, and to build a generation with all the moral and scientific qualifications to advance it to keep pace with scientific and technical progress and global civilization, the University of Idlib in the year 2015-2016 created the Faculty of Civil Engineering, which contains a select group of faculty members  Which strives to provide its best to prepare engineers armed with science and extensive knowledge in the field of specialization, familiar with modern scientific methods of analysis and thinking, understand the human dimensions and are able to transform scientific theoretical data into practical reality through engineering designs in which creation, innovation and creativity are manifested, and employ them for the benefit of development and progress  The humanist in different walks of life and keep abreast of the latest developments in science and technology in order to benefit from them.

The study at the college is characterized by an applied nature within the available possibilities in addition to theoretical lessons of a high engineering level, as the college contains the necessary specialized laboratories in the field of engineering design using computers and training workshops.

The college grants its students a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering after they have passed the five years.
