The Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Idlib was established according to the Idlib University Decree No. ……… for the year ……. and is based in the city of Idlib, and the study started in it since the beginning of the academic year 2018-2019, and the purpose of the college’s creation was to provide the community with highly qualified practicing dentists Excellent professional skills and ethical values ​​contribute to the development of the health sector in the liberated areas and to improving the quality of health services in society as a whole, by developing and modernizing teaching and learning methods.

Faculty aspirations

• Contribution to continuing medical and academic training and rehabilitation courses for graduates and working dentists.
• Developing curricula and teaching aids and methods, exam methods, writing and translating university medical books, and setting rules for quality control and improvement based on the opinions of students, professors and experts.
• Developing the spirit of collective medical work, strengthening cooperation with all sectors concerned with health matters, students, administrators and doctors, and strengthening cultural ties with local and foreign medical colleges and bodies.
• Refinement of the student’s scientific, political, intellectual and social personality and his passion for work.

• The community needs highly qualified dentists.
• Advancing the reality of dentistry in the liberated areas through continuing medical education programs and scientific seminars.

Specialty goals

1. Preparing the general practitioner dentist with high efficiency, aware of the health needs of the community, and able to pursue education, and who is committed to medical ethics and ethics, in order to contribute to the provision of oral health in both preventive and curative aspects for all citizens.
2. Preparing the doctor to follow up on specialized graduate studies and conducting scientific research in a way that suits the needs of Idlib University and its development programs.
3. Preparing specialists in various dental specialties and providing them with a high level of knowledge and skill in their field of specialization and preparing some of them academically to join the family of the College of Dentistry.
