Media Technical Institute
The Technical Institute for Media is one of the most important institutes of the University of Idlib due to the large number of its students and the multiplicity of its fields. The Technical Institute for Media was created in Idlib Governorate in the year 2016 AD, in which the Press and Communications Division, the Photography and Design Division and the Audiovisual Division were opened, and in 2018 the people were closed and the specialization became general.
Vision and mission
The institute is looking forward to establishing a media and advertising production center that works in all areas of print, audio and visual media, and establishing FM radio to train students and provide a broadcast media message to the local community, publishing a weekly newspaper under the supervision of the institute in which all students of Idlib University participate, holding seminars and continuous conferences to keep abreast of the latest developments and prospects in the media world on all levels.
The Institute seeks to provide the scientific and academic climate for its students and academics with the necessary expertise and competencies, to contribute to building their society consciously and visually on the path of sustainable and comprehensive development and to provide service to the community internally and externally. The Institute also seeks, through its available educational programs, to develop the personality of the university student from the psychological, mental and social aspects, by facilitating access to knowledge, and enhancing positive trends represented in self-realization, interaction with the other through constructive dialogue, and a sense of community and cause.
In addition to providing distinguished education in the field of media, and preparing internal competencies able to contribute to programs for the advancement of the nation and raise its level of education.

- Providing students with the basic competencies and skills necessary to enter the practical field in public and private institutions.
- Preserving the nation’s cultural identity and giving students the intellectual and mental immunity necessary to counter negative intellectual and cultural currents.
- Enabling students to combine theoretical and practical aspects in the various study programs available.
- Activating the use of modern technologies and employing them in the educational learning process.
- Promote a culture of independent thinking and innovation and help organize students ’ideas and projects.
- Creating possible and ambitious projects and overcoming all surrounding obstacles by preparing the public for change for the better.
- Opening many channels of communication between all scientific research centers, scientists and experts, and the public on the one hand to see what modern science has reached.
- Qualifying students to practice journalism (collecting and editing news, design, directing, and publishing).
- Qualifying students to practice working in radio and television institutions, planning media campaigns, and preparing media research and studies and public opinion research.
- Building a qualified media cadre able to counter hostile media attacks.

- Knowledge and skills qualification in a way that enables him to work after graduation efficiently and competently in various fields of media creativity.
- Providing practical training services inside and outside the institute.
- Activating the participation of scholars and graduates in community development programs by participating in organizing conferences, practical forums and research in the areas of media work.
