Faculty of Education
The College of Education opened in the academic year 2004-2005 as one of the colleges affiliated with the University of Aleppo, and in 2015 the College of Education continued its path and became affiliated with the University of Idlib after the establishment and opening of Idlib University, and the first university that took it upon itself to teach its children in the liberated areas, and the College of Education contributes To a great extent in providing educational and educational services and improving them through:
- Preparing and qualifying male and female teachers to practice their work in teaching basic stage pupils.
- Qualification of teachers to practice their work in teaching preparatory and secondary stage students.
- In the College of Education there is a section for child education in its two divisions: class teacher class, kindergarten division, and psychological counseling section in the degree stage.
- The College of Education grants the following certificates: Bachelor’s degree in class teacher, Bachelor’s degree in kindergarten (newly opened in the year 2017-2018), Bachelor degree in psychological counseling (newly opened in the year 2018-2019), diploma in educational qualification diploma, master’s and doctoral degree (Postgraduate studies opened in 2016-2017).
- The number of students in the college is about 1,800 male and female students, and the number of members of the teaching staff is about 11 teachers and schools, in addition to 7 teachers who are recruited from other colleges to teach specialized courses.
Vision and mission
The college vision is consistent with the general vision of the university, its mission and goals, through: preparing and qualifying male and female teachers for the basic education stage and distinguished teachers for kindergarten who are highly professional, sufficient knowledge capacity to deal with kindergarten children and interact with members of their community, and enhance educational and educational reform efforts at the level of liberated areas , And to fill the shortfall in the numbers of male and female teachers, as well as to achieve and enhance interaction and partnership with local and regional institutions working in the field of education and access to comprehensive and sustainable development.

- Forming a mobile team prepared to continually rehabilitate and train graduates in their work areas.
- Forming a work team to redefine educational policy in the liberated areas after the violent incidents.
- Work to establish workshops aimed at analyzing the content of the curricula of the basic education stage and changing it to be in line with the goals of the Syrian revolution.
- Developing courses continuously according to the changes taking place in the region and the world.
- Preparing highly qualified educational cadres to provide the college with what it needs of teachers in various specializations in the future.
- Improve the quality of graduates to reach international quality standards.
- New sections such as Psychological Counseling, Curricula and Education Technologies will be opened in the future.

- Preparing and qualifying a qualified teacher for the basic education stage, which has become a primary goal in all advanced societies.
- The growing need for a competent teacher in the liberated areas after the departure of some teachers and the martyrdom of others due to the regime’s destruction of schools.
- The importance of specialization in meeting the needs of other graduate institutions, especially the directorates of education.
- It provides the necessary academic material for specialization and provides the teaching staff who is able to teach the scientific subject.
Specialty goals
The specialization of child education with its two divisions (class teacher and kindergarten) in the College of Education aims to prepare graduates (male and female teachers) with high qualifications in line with the requirements of the educational and educational process for childhood in the liberated areas. This is done through focusing on the acquisition of male and female students by the following main components:
- Knowledge component: This includes providing basic knowledge in the field of education for male and female students, including normal and extraordinary growth.
- The cultural component: This includes providing general knowledge about the class teacher, the requirements for its preparation, kindergarten, children’s rights, children’s organizations and legislation to protect it.
- Skills component: It includes field applications and practical training in schools and kindergartens.
