A scientific trip for first-year students at the Faculty of Agricultural Engineering was carried out on 7/6/2020 under the supervision of Dr. Amin Al-Hassan, Engineer Ahmed Al-Turki and Engineer Muhammad Abdul-Qader for the subject of plant classification within the city of Idlib with the aim of identifying the most important plant species scattered in the city’s streets and gardens and some species What were seen: carob, tamarisk, casuarina, Robinia, cypress of all kinds, pine of all kinds, hackberry, magnolia. The specifications of these species, their original habitat and areas of spread, and the medical uses of some of them were explained.
They also visited one of the private nurseries on the outskirts of the city and learned about ornamental plants and fruit trees.
